Position Summary:
Interns will gain hands-on experience in sports coaching, youth development, and community outreach through Bridge LA’s soccer programs. This role is ideal for Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related majors looking to enhance their practical knowledge while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist coaches in training sessions, helping with drills, warm-ups, and cool-downs.
- Learn and apply injury prevention and stretching techniques.
- Educate young athletes on endurance, flexibility, and physical wellness.
- Support event coordination, including tournaments and community outreach initiatives.
- Receive mentorship from experienced coaches and professionals.
- Gain valuable real-world experience to enhance future career opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Current student of CSUN or UCLA majoring in Kinesiology with a GPA of 2.5 or higher or recent graduate in Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Must be age 18 and older.
- Passion for sports coaching, youth engagement, and physical education.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must pass a background check, TB test, and fingerprint screening.
- Be able to commit semester long.
