Position Summary:
The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in delivering high-quality soccer training to young athletes in Bridge LA’s after-school and community programs. This role involves assisting in training sessions, mentoring players, and contributing to the overall development of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and conducting training sessions.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players.
- Support the Head Coach in team management and game preparation.
- Help ensure a safe and engaging environment for all participants.
- Contribute to the development of endurance, flexibility, and injury prevention programs.
- Mentor interns and volunteers by sharing coaching knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in community outreach events and program expansion initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Coaching experience at the youth level preferred.
- Soccer playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.
- U.S. Soccer coaching license or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for soccer and youth development.
Benefits and Pay:
- Pay range $25-$35 per hour.
- Part-time only.
- No other benefits offered.
- Employment will be as an independent contractor (1099 employee).
