Position Summary:
The Head Coach is responsible for leading Bridge LA’s soccer training programs, developing players’ skills, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for youth soccer development. This position involves designing and implementing training sessions, mentoring assistant coaches and interns, and ensuring the program aligns with Bridge LA’s mission of making soccer accessible to all children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement structured training programs for children in after-school and community soccer programs.
- Lead coaching sessions, focusing on technical, tactical, and physical aspects of soccer.
- Mentor and supervise assistant coaches, interns, and volunteers.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for players.
- Coordinate and manage team competitions, including AYSO-style tournaments and club soccer-style training.
- Ensure players’ physical well-being by enforcing proper stretching, warm-up, and injury prevention techniques.
- Collaborate with program leadership to expand training opportunities and player development programs.
- Engage with the community to promote Bridge LA and support fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Professional or college playing experience or high-level coaching background.
- UEFA or U.S. Soccer coaching license required. Intermediate to advance.
- Experience coaching youth soccer, ideally in diverse or underserved communities.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- Passion for youth development and community outreach.
Benefits and Pay:
- Pay range $30-$45 per hour.
